A New Laparoscopy Method is in Literature Now!
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sıddık EVSEN, lecturer from Dicle University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, has developed a new method for laparoscopy. With taking place in literature, the new method is expected to be preferred by other surgeons.
The method developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. EVSEN with his three year studya and comparative studies have been published in Ginekologia Polska on 2018. Laparoscopy is a surgical diagnostic procedure used to examine the organs inside the abdomen. It's a low-risk, minimally invasive procedure that requires only small incisions. Laparoscopy uses an instrument called a laparoscope to look at the abdominal organs. This method developed under laparoscopy is called “Evsen Method” and took its place in literature.
The new method providing access of needle through a small cut blocks escape of carbondioxide gas given under skin and extremely reduces the possibility of fatal large vein injury because of less driving on needle.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. EVSEN has told about his method:
“ın classical method, skin is cut and entrance is made with needle, but in my method entrance is done under control of finger with vertical angle. This method can be used in closed surgeries for urology, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics. Increasing surgeons’ comfort and reducing complications have great benefits for the patient. This is a big comfort for the patient. After taking place in literature, this method can be known by other surgeons around the world and easily applied by them. A lot of patients will benefit this method. So, the reflection to the patients will be much more.”
